and the TA held its own against the Caymans and Boxsters.
I never remember to take pictures at AutoX
Had an instructor ride along in the afternoon, he was amused by how quick I/the TA was and said the instructors in general were impressed with my morning times.
His main criticism is that I have a tendency to me too aggressive on turn in and overdrive the front tires with more steering angle than is necessary.
I’ve gotten way more confident and consistent in the car over the past couple months, which has lead to much faster times.
Jayhawk Jake is still 3.2 seconds faster in the GT (but that gap is down from 5 seconds at the beginning of the year with the Boostang)

One year we should gather all the autocrossing Oppos at an event and run a battle of the Oppos sub category.

That’d be fun (but I’d be slow)

Can’t be as slow as I am. I was almost 9 seconds off of 2nd in class yesterday (6 seconds if I hadn’t slaughtered 2 cones on my fastest run). (I’m ignoring 1st because he was being a cheeky bugger and managed to get a supercharger, coilovers, and slicks through tech and then almost put a class 1 car (slowest of 6 classes for SCCV) on the overall podium)

Probably the best place to do it.

How far are you from Lincoln?
I’m solo chair in my region (Wichita), and we are talking about doing a “let’s all go to Lincoln for a regular weekend event” next year. If you (and other oppocrossers) are interested in making the drive we can coordinate. It’s about a 4 hour drive for us.

About as far away as you can get. Google claims 23 hours.

That’d be pretty cool. KC region might be stepping down the number of events a bit next year (or at least lowering the amount required to get a competitive quantity of championship points) so there’s a good chance I’ll be taking a peek at other nearby regions then.

We’d be happy to have you. I need to make trip up to a KC region event, or a Kansas region event at HPT.
Our site in Wichita isn’t the best as it’s a runway, but we try our best. Here’s a video from a few weeks ago:
